וְנָשְׂאוּ אֵלַיִךְ בְּנִיהֶם קִינָה וְקֹונְנוּ עָלָיִךְ מִי כְצֹור כְּדֻמָה בְּתֹוךְ הַיָּם׃

3269. 'These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names' means matters of doctrine and the essential nature of them. This is clear from the meaning of 'sons' as truths, and also as matters of doctrine, and of 'name' as the essential nature, dealt with above in 3266.
