6163. 'And we will be Pharaoh's slaves' means that they should renounce their own and become submissive to the natural, which is under the control of the internal. This is clear from the meaning of 'slaves' as being without any freedom of their own, dealt with in 5760, 5767, thus a renunciation of what is properly their own; and from the meaning of 'being Pharaoh's' as becoming submissive to the natural which is under the control of the internal, dealt with in 6145.
