Exodus 37

Estudio

1 And Beseleel made also the ark of setim wood: it was two cubits and a half in length, and a cubit and a half in breadth, and the height was of one cubit and a half: and he overlaid it with the purest gold within and without.

2 And he made to it a crown of gold round about,

3 Casting four rings of gold at the four corners thereof: two rings in one side, and two in the other.

4 And he made bars of setim wood, which he overlaid with gold,

5 And he put them into the rings that were at the sides of the ark to carry it.

6 He made also the propitiatory, that is, the oracle, of the purest gold, two cubits and a half in length, and a cubit and a half in breadth.

7 Two cherubims also of beaten gold, which he set on the Two sides of the propitiatory:

8 One cherub in the top of one side, and the other cherub in the top of the other side: two cherubims at the two ends of the propitiatory,

9 Spreading their wings, and covering the propitiatory, and looking one towards the other, and towards it.

10 He made also the table of setim wood, in length two cubits, and in breadth one cubit, and in height it was a cubit and a half.

11 And he overlaid it with the finest gold, and he made to it a golden ledge round about.

12 And to the ledge itself he made a polished crown of gold, of four fingers' breadth, and upon the same another golden crown.

13 And he cast four rings of gold, which he put in the four corners at each foot of the table,

14 Over against the crown: and he put the bars into them, that the table might be carried.

15 And the bars also themselves he made of setim wood, and overlaid them with gold,

16 And the vessels for the divers uses of the table, dishes, bowls, and cups, and censers of pure gold, wherein the libations are to be offered.

17 He made also the candlestick of beaten work of the finest gold. From the shaft whereof its branches, its cups, and bowls, and lilies came out:

18 Six on the two sides: three branches on one side, and three on the other.

19 Three cups in manner of a nut on each branch, and bowls withal and lilies; and Three cups of the fashion of a nut in another branch, and bowls withal and lilies. The work of the six branches that went out from the shaft of the candlestick was equal.

20 And in the shaft itself were four cups after the manner of a nut, and bowls withal at every one, and lilies:

21 And bowls under two branches in three places, which together make six branches going out from one shaft.

22 So both the bowls, and the branches were of the same, all beaten work of the purest gold.

23 He made also the seven lamps with their snuffers, and the vessels where the snuffings were to be put out, of the purest gold.

24 The candlestick with all the vessels thereof weighed a talent of gold.

25 He made also the altar of incense of setim wood, being a cubit on every side foursquare, and in height two cubits: from the corners of which went out horns.

26 And he overlaid it with the purest gold, with its grate and the sides, and the horns.

27 And he made to it a crown of gold round about, and two golden rings under the crown at each side, that the bars might be put into them, and the altar be carried.

28 And the bars themselves he made also of setim wood, and overlaid them with plates of gold.

29 He compounded also the oil for the ointment of sanctification, and incense of the purest spices, according to the work of a perfumer.

10782. Exodus 38

1. And he made the altar of burnt offering from shittim wood, five cubits its length and five cubits its breadth; it was square, and three cubits was its height.

2. And he made its horns on its four corners; its horns were of one piece with it 1 , and he overlaid it with bronze.

3. And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pans and the shovels and the basins and the forks and the tongs; all its vessels he made from bronze.

4. And he made for the altar a grating, a network, from bronze, under the rim of it beneath, reaching halfway down 2 .

5. And he cast four rings on the four ends of the grating 3 of bronze, receptacles for the poles.

6. And he made the poles from shittim wood, and overlaid them with bronze.

7. And he inserted the poles into the rings on the ribs 4 of the altar, to carry it on them. A boarded hollow he made it.

8. And he made the laver of bronze, and its pedestal from bronze in the sight of the serving women who served at the door of the tent of meeting.

9. And he made the court on the south side 5 , southwards; the hangings of the court from fine twined linen, [extending for] a hundred cubits;

10. Their twenty pillars, and the twenty bases of these, from bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands from silver;

11. And on the north side 5 [the hangings extending for] a hundred cubits, their twenty pillars, and the twenty bases of these, from bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands from silver;

12. And on the side of the sea 6 the hangings [extending for] fifty cubits, and their ten pillars, and the ten bases of these; the hooks of the pillars and their bands from silver;

13. And on the east side 5 , towards the sunrise, [the hangings extending for] fifty cubits;

14. The hangings [extending for] fifteen cubits on [one] shoulder 7 , their three pillars, and the three bases of these;

15. And on the other shoulder 7 - [thus] to one side and to the other at the gate of the court - the hangings [extending for] fifteen cubits, their three pillars, and the three bases of these.

16. All the hangings of the court round about [were made] from fine twined linen.

17. And the bases for their pillars [were made] from bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their bands from silver, and the overlay [around] their heads from silver; and these - all the pillars of the court - were furnished with bands [made] from silver.

18. And the screen for the gate of the court [was made] from the work of an embroiderer, from violet, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, and fine twined linen; and twenty cubits was the length, and the height all along the width was five cubits, corresponding to the hangings of the court 8 .

19. And their pillars were four, and the bases of these were four, [made] from bronze; their hooks [were made] from silver, and the overlay [around] their heads, and their bands, from silver.

20. And all the pegs for the dwelling-place and the court round about [were made] from bronze.

21. This is the inventory 9 of the dwelling-place, the dwelling-place of the Testimony, which was made at the command 10 of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.

22. And Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, belonging to the tribe of Judah, made all the things which Jehovah had commanded Moses.

23. And with him was Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, belonging to the tribe of Dan, a craftsman and designer, and an embroiderer in violet, and in purple, and in twice-dyed scarlet, and in fine linen.

24. All the gold [that was] used 11 for the work in all the work of the holy place and was the gold of the wave offering, was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred and thirty shekels, according to the shekel of holiness.

25. And the silver of those who were numbered of the assembly was a hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels, according to the shekel of holiness;

26. A didrachm 12 a head, half a shekel, according to the shekel of holiness, for everyone passing over to those who were numbered, from a son of twenty years 13 and over, for six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty [men].

27. And so it was, the hundred talents of silver were for casting the bases of the holy place and the bases of the veil - a hundred bases from the hundred talents, a talent for a base.

28. And from the one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five [shekels] he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their heads, and decorated them with bands.

29. And the bronze of the wave offering was seventy talents and two thousand four hundred shekels.

30. And he made with it the bases of the door of the tent of meeting, and the altar of bronze, and the grating of bronze for it, and all the vessels of the altar,

31. And the bases of the court round about, and the bases of the gate of the court, and all the pegs of the dwelling-place, and all the pegs of the court round about.
