8 ดูเถิด เราได้ตั้งแผ่นดินนั้นไว้ตรงหน้าเจ้าทั้งหลาย เจ้าทั้งหลายจงเข้าไปยึดครองแผ่นดินซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงปฏิญาณกับบรรพบุรุษของเจ้า คืออับราฮัม อิสอัค และยาโคบ ว่าจะให้แก่เขาทั้งหลายและแก่เชื้อสายของเขาที่มาภายหลังเขาด้วย'
