4340. 'Esau was coming' means Divine Natural Good. This is clear from the representation of 'Esau' as Divine Good within the natural, dealt with in 3576.

The gift which Abraham gave to the sons of the concubines which he had, as in Genesis 25:6, signifies lots in the Lord's spiritual kingdom. To send gifts, as in Revelation 11:10, signifies to be associated by love and friendship, because a gift consociates, for it begets love, and causes friendship.
