And to the Lord who was talking with her she gave this name, You are a God who is seen; for she said, Have I not even here in the waste land had a vision of God and am still living?
1780. The Lord's complaint regarding the Church - that it was wholly external, verses 2-3. A promise regarding an internal Church, verse 4, and its multiplication, verse 5. The Lord is Righteousness, verse 6. The kingdom in heaven and on earth is His alone, verse 7.
