Genesis 1:7

Study

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

Commentarius

Resurrection, the first

'The first resurrection,' mentioned in Revelation 20:5, 6, does not mean a first resurrection, but the essence and primary part of resurrection, which is salvation and eternal life. There is only one resurrection to life. A second does not happen, and is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

3961. 'And she called his name Zebulun' means the essential nature of it. This is clear from the meaning of 'calling the name' as the essential nature, dealt with above. He was given the name Zebulun from the expression 'dwelling together', a name which embodies the things stated immediately above in 3960 about 'dwelling together', and at the same time the things meant in the rest of the words uttered by Leah.
