That it signifies that this filled the universal natural, is evident from the signification of a “voice” which is heard elsewhere and at a distance, when predicated of influx, as being to be filled; for as a voice that is heard fills, so does that which flows in; and from the signification of “Pharaoh’s house,” as being the universal natural, for by Pharaoh is represented the natural in general (see n. 5160, 5799).
