8 and walked in the statutes of the nations, whom Yahweh cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they made.

Verse 8. And is captivated by the external rituals springing from evils, from which the Lord by Redemption and Regeneration delivers mankind, and by those also which the church in its corruption invents.
