וַיְחִי־שֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־עֵבֶר שָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים וְאַרְבַּע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ ס

וַיְחִי־שֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־עֵבֶר שָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים וְאַרְבַּע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ ס
1320. That 'come, let us go down' means that judgement took place in this manner is clear from what has been stated above at verse 5 about the meaning of 'going down'. The reason the plural is used -'let us go down and let us confound their lips'- is that the execution of judgement is meant, which is carried out by means of spirits, and in fact by evil spirits.
