First born from the dead
In Revelation 1:5, this signifies the Lord Himself, because as to His Human He is truth itself united to the Divine Good, from whom all men live, even though they are in themselves spiritually lifeless. (Apocalypse Explained 28, Apocalypse Revealed 17)
