62 And Isaac came from the way of Beer-lahai-roi. For he dwelt in the land of the South.

3193. Verses 62-63 And Isaac had come from 1 Beer Lahai Roi, and was dwelling in the land of the south. And Isaac came out to meditate in the field towards evening, and lifted up his eyes and saw, and behold, the camels were coming.

'Isaac had come from Beer Lahai Roi' means Divine Rational Good born from Divine Truth itself. 'And was dwelling in the land of the south' means consequently in Divine light. 'And Isaac came out to meditate in the field' means a state of the Rational immersed in good. 'Towards evening' means as compared with the things below it. 'And lifted up his eyes and saw' means directing the attention. 'And behold, the camels were coming' means towards general facts in the natural man.

Nurse

  

In Genesis 21:7, this signifies to implant truth from good, or something spiritual from a celestial origin. (Arcana Coelestia 2643)

In Psalm 8:2, this signifies that praise can come to the Lord only through innocence, for this alone effects all communication and all influx. (Arcana Coelestia 5236[4]) 'The nurse,' in Genesis 24:59, signifies a state of innocence. 'The nurse,' in Genesis 35, signifies hereditary evil. 'A nurse,' as she feeds and nurses an infant, properly signifies the introduction of innocence by the celestial spiritual. But when 'Deborah, the nurse of Rebecca died and was buried,' it signifies that hereditary evil which the Lord received from His mother, which was nourished from infancy just like with other people, was later totally expelled forever.
