4 nisi hoc tantum quod excelsa non abstulit : adhuc enim populus immolabat, et adolebat incensum in excelsis.

Verse 4. And therefore the imperfect affections of the natural man remain, and man is devoted to those affections so that his worship of the Lord is not wholly pure.
