8 Ja vaata, su juures on Simei, Geera poeg, benjaminlane Bahuurimist, kes sajatas mind kibeda sajatusega sel päeval, kui ma läksin Mahanaimi; aga kui ta tuli alla Jordani äärde mulle vastu, siis vandusin ma temale Issanda juures ja ütlesin: Ma ei surma sind mõõgaga.

Verse 8. Whereas the merely natural love of approbation, which is uncertain and contentious, having a perception of truths, and valiant; and which is opposed to good, when evil seems to prosper and conflict is at hand, while yet it appears to favour good in externals, and is therefore, on account of its use, preserved from the punishment of falsity;—-
