In Ezekiel 27:12, together silver, iron, tin, and lead from Tarshish represent different levels of truth in their proper order, right down to the most external kind of truth, which is truth as we receive it through our physical senses. 'Tin,' as in Ezekiel 22:18, relates to the literal sense of the Word, or the goods and truths of the natural self.
