²⁸ അമ്പതു നീതിമാന്മാരില്‍ പക്ഷേ അഞ്ചുപേര്‍ കുറഞ്ഞു പോയെങ്കിലോ? അഞ്ചുപേര്‍ കുറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു നീ ആ പട്ടണം മുഴുവനും നശിപ്പിക്കുമോ എന്നു അബ്രാഹാം പറഞ്ഞതിന്നുനാല്പത്തഞ്ചു പേരെ ഞാന്‍ അവിടെ കണ്ടാല്‍ അതിനെ നശിപ്പിക്കയില്ല എന്നു അവന്‍ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

⁸ Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
