וַיָּמָד קִיר־הַבַּיִת שֵׁשׁ אַמֹּות וְרֹחַב הַצֵּלָע אַרְבַּע אַמֹּות סָבִיב סָבִיב לַבַּיִת סָבִיב׃
4483. 'Let us take their daughters to us as wives, and let us give our daughters to them' means a joining together. This is clear from what has been explained above in 4466, where similar words occur.
4466. 'Then we will give our daughters to you, and your daughters we will take to ourselves' means a joining together in this manner. This is clear from what has been stated above about marriage, in 4434, namely that 'marriage' in the spiritual sense means good and truth joined together. For 'giving our daughters to you and taking your daughters to ourselves' describes an intermarrying.
