Jesus tells us that the kingdom of heaven is like a pearl of great price... something we'd sell everything we've got in order to have it. Is that how you regard heaven? I don't think most if any of us do. We're willing to make some small sacrifices to be a better person, but are you willing to give up everything? Not likely. Jesus tells us we should though, which to me, tells me something: that we undervalue just how wonderful heaven really is.
