16 Sapagka't hindi madadala ng Panginoon ang bayang ito sa lupain, na kaniyang isinumpa sa kanila, kaya't kaniyang pinatay sila sa ilang.

Verse 16. That because the realization of the heavenly life is an impossibility, therefore they must of necessity be given up to evil and its falsities, which is spiritual death.
