Verse 15. Also he destroys in himself the evil which belongs to the corrupted understanding, with its false worship from the abuse of the knowledges of good and truth, by the institution of external worship separate from internal, disclosing that it is nothing but infernal self-love and the condemned falsity thence derived, and that thus, too, its faith, being void of charity, is but a form of self-love.
