Being Useful

Thomas Jefferson wrote of an inalienable right to the pursuit of happiness. Jordan Peterson, the newly-famous Canadian psychologist, writes about the importance of taking responsibility -- and that doing something positive and worthwhile is what we should strive for. In 1936, Helen Keller wrote this in her journal entry: "Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose." It's about being useful.
