1 Of David, when he changed his behavior* before Abimelech, and he drove· him ·out and he went.
2 א I will bless Jehovah at every time;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 3 ב In Jehovah my soul shall glory;
the meek shall hear and be··glad.

3 4 ג O magnify Jehovah with me,
and let us exalt His name together.

4 5 ד I inquired··after Jehovah, and He answered me,
and from all my fears He rescued me.

5 6 ה They looked to Him and flowed··together;
ו and their faces shall not blush.

6 7 ז This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard,
and saved him from all his adversities.

7 8 ח The angel of Jehovah encamps all around those who fear Him,
and sets· them ·free.

8 9 ט O taste and see that Jehovah is good;
happy is the mighty··man who confides in Him.

9 10 י O fear Jehovah, ye His holy ones;
for there is no want to those who fear Him.

10 11 כ The young··lions are miserable and hungry;
but they who inquire··after Jehovah shall not be··in··want of any good.

11 12 ל Come, ye sons, hearken to me;
I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.

12 13 מ Who is the man delighting··in lives*,
loving days, to see good?

13 14 נ Preserve thy tongue from evil,
and thy lips from speaking deceit.

14 15 ס Turn··aside from evil, and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.

15 16 ע The eyes of Jehovah are toward the just,
and His ears are toward their outcry.

16 17 פ The faces of Jehovah are against those who do evil,
to cut··off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 18 צ They cry and Jehovah hears,
and from all their adversity He rescues them.

18 19 ק Jehovah is near to those who are of a broken heart,
and those who are of a contrite spirit He saves.

19 20 ר Many are the evils of the just;
but Jehovah rescues him from them all.

20 21 ש He keeps all his bones;
not one of them is broken.

21 22 ת Evil shall put· the wicked ·to··death;
and they who hate the just shall be··guilty.

22 23 Jehovah ransoms the soul of His servants;
and all who confide in Him shall not be··guilty.
