And the queen of Sheba heard the fame of Solomon concerning the name of Jehovah, and she came to try him with riddles.

And she came toward Jerusalem with a very glorious host, with camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones; and she came to▵ Solomon, and spoke to▵ him all that was in her heart.
3
And Solomon told her all her words; not a word was hidden◦ from the king, which he told her not.

And the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,

and the food of his table, and the situation of his servants, and the station of his ministers, and their clothes, and his cup-bearers*, and his going··up by which he went··up to the house of Jehovah; and there was no◦ more◦ spirit in her.

And she said to▵ the king, True was the word that I heard in my own land concerning thy words and concerning thy wisdom.

And I believed not the words until I came, and my eyes had seen; and, behold, the half was not told me; thou hast added wisdom and goodness to▵ the report which I heard.

Happy are thy men◦; happy are these thy servants, that stand continually before thee, hearing thy wisdom.
9
Blessed be Jehovah thy God, who delighted in thee, to put◦ thee on the throne of Israel; in the love of Jehovah for Israel to eternity, He set thee for a king, to do judgment and justice.

And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices multiplied exceedingly, and precious stones; there came not any··more so many spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

And the ship of Hiram also which carried gold from Ophir, brought from Ophir almug trees exceedingly multiplied, and precious stones.
12
And the king made of the almug trees supports to sustain the house of Jehovah, and for the house of the king, and harps and psalteries for the singers; there came not such almug trees, nor have any such been seen, even··to this day.

And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her delight, that she asked, besides what he gave her according··to the hand of King Solomon. And she turned◦ and went to her own land, she◦ and her servants.

And the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty and six talents of gold,
15
besides that from the men▵ of exploring, and the trade of the merchants, and all the kings of Arabia, and the governors of the land.
16
And King Solomon made two··hundred bucklers of beaten◦ gold; six hundred* of gold went··up on one buckler;
17
and three hundred shields of beaten◦ gold; three manehs of gold went into* one shield; and the king put◦ them into the house of the Forest of Lebanon.
18
And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with fine gold.
19
There were six stairs to the throne, and the head of the throne was round◦ from behind it; and there were spaces on this side and on that▵, to▵ the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the hands.
20
And twelve lions stood there on the six stairs, on this side and on this; such was not made in all the kingdoms.
21
And all King Solomon’s drinking◦ vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of closed gold; none of silver; it was not reckoned anything in the days of Solomon.
22
For the king had◦ a ship of Tarshish on◦ the sea with the ship of Hiram; once in three years the ship of Tarshish came, carrying gold and silver, ivory and apes and peacocks.
23
And King Solomon became··greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.
24
And all the earth sought the face of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had given into his heart.
25
And they◦ brought each··man◦ his gift··offering, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, and weapons and spices, horses and mules, the matter* of a year in a year.
26
And Solomon gathered··together chariots and horsemen; and he had◦ a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he led them into the chariot cities, and to be with the king in Jerusalem.
27
And the king gave silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he as the mulberry··fig··trees that are in the lowland, for multitude.
28
And the horses which were for Solomon came··out from Egypt; and a troop* of traders of the king took a troop for a price.
29
And a chariot came··up and went··out of Egypt for six hundred of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty, and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria did they bring· them ·out by their hand.
