Psalms 50

Estude

1 A psalm of Asaph.
God, God Jehovah, has spoken,
and called the earth from the rising of the sun even··to its going··in.

2 Out··of Zion, the completeness of beauty,
God has shone··forth.

3 Our God shall come and not be··silent;
a fire shall devour before Him,
and it shall be· very ·tempestuous all around Him.

4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth,
to make··judgment for His people:

5 gather My merciful ones to Me;
those who have cut a covenant with Me by sacrifice.

6 And its heavens shall tell His justice;
for God, He is a judge. Selah.

7 Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee;
I am God, thy God.

8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices;
and thy burnt··offerings continually in· My ·presence:

9 I will not take a bullock from thy house,
nor he-goats from thy pens.

10 For every animal of the forest is Mine,
the beasts on mountains of a thousand.

11 I know every fowl of the mountains;
and the wild··beast of My fields is with··Me.

12 If I were··hungry, I would not say so to thee;
for the world is Mine and the fulness of it.

13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls,
and drink the blood of he-goats?

14 Sacrifice to God confession;
and pay to the Most··High thy vows:

15 and call Me in the day of adversity;
I will set· thee ·free and thou shalt glorify Me.

16 But to the wicked God says,
What is it to thee to recount My statutes,
and that thou takest··up My covenant upon thy mouth?

17 Since thou hatest chastening,
and castest My words behind thee.

18 If thou seest a thief, thou runnest with him,
and with adulterers is thy part.

19 Thou sendest forth thy mouth to evil,
and thy tongue weaves deceit.

20 Thou sittest, thou speakest against thy brother;
thou givest out scandal against thy mother’s son.

21 These things hast thou done, and I was··silent;
thou didst consider that I am as thyself;
I will reprove thee,
and set· Myself ·in··array before thine eyes.

22 Now understand this, you who forget God,
lest I tear, and there be none to rescue:

23 he who sacrifices in confession, glorifies Me;
and to him who sets a way, I will show the salvation of God.
