36 Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.

Verse 36. And hence the state is one of fulness as to corruption and fulness also as to the perversion of truth, the external origin of which is the lust of gain springing from self-love in a state of the rejection of good.
