1
And it was, many days after that Jehovah had given rest to Israel from all their enemies from all around, that Joshua was··old and came··into days,

and Joshua called to all Israel, to their elders, and to their heads, and to their judges, and to their officers, and said to▵ them, I◦ am··old, I come into days;
3
and you◦ have seen all that Jehovah your God has done unto all these nations before you; for Jehovah your God, He◦ fought for you.
4
See, I have allotted◦ unto you these nations that are left for an inheritance to your tribes◦ from Jordan, and all the nations which I have cut··off, and to the great sea at the going··in of the sun.
5
And Jehovah your God, He◦ shall push· them ·out before you, and shall dispossess them from before you; and you shall possess their land, as◦ Jehovah your God has spoken to you.
6
And you shall be· very ·firm to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that you turn· not▵ ·aside from it to the right··hand or to the left,
7
that you come not▵ among◦ these nations, these that are left with you; make· no◦ ·mention of the name of their gods, nor make a promise by them, nor serve them, nor bow··down to them;
8
but◦ stick unto Jehovah your God, as◦ you have done even··to this day.
9
And Jehovah has dispossessed before you great and numerous nations, and as for you◦, a man◦ stood not before you to◦ this day.
10
One man◦ of you shall pursue a thousand; for Jehovah your God, He◦ it is that fights for you, as◦ He has spoken unto you.
11
And take··heed diligently for your souls to love Jehovah your God;
12
for if turning··back you turn··back, and stick unto the remainder of these nations, these that are left with◦ you, and shall make··marriages with them, and come··in with them and they◦ with you:
13
knowing you shall know, that Jehovah your God shall not continue to dispossess these nations from before you; and they shall be a trap and a snare to you, and for a whip on◦ your sides, and for a barb in your eyes, until you perish from upon this good ground which Jehovah your God has given you.

And, behold, I▵ go◦ this day the way of all the earth; and you know in all your heart, and in all your soul, that not one word has fallen of all the good words which Jehovah your God spoke concerning you; all has come to you, not one word of it has fallen.

And it shall be that as every good thing has come upon you which Jehovah your God has spoken unto▵ you, so shall Jehovah your God cause to come upon you every evil thing, until He have blotted· you ·out from upon this good ground which Jehovah your God has given you.

When you have transgressed◦ the covenant of Jehovah your God, which He commanded you, and have gone◦ and served other gods, and have bowed··down to them◦, then shall the anger of Jehovah be··fierce against you, and you shall perish in haste from upon the good land which He has given to you.
