Title: What to Do about a Falling Star Problem
Topic: Second Coming
Summary: We look at stars from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, and see how unstarlike they sometimes are. Stars in Scripture are subject to (1) darkening, and (2) falling, even to the earth. What does this mean?

#91 What to Do about a Falling Star Problem
By Jonathan S. Rose
Arcana Coelestia #411
411. That the last time of vastation must exist before a new church can arise, is frequently declared by the Lord in the Prophets, and is there called “vastation” or “laying waste” in reference to the celestial things of faith; and “desolation” in relation to the spiritual things of faith. It is also spoken of as “consummation” and “cutting off.” (See Isaiah 6:9, 11-12; 24, [33:8] 1 , 42:15-18; Jeremiah 25; Daniel 8; 9:24-27; Zephaniah 1, Deuteronomy 32; Revelation 15:1-8; 16.)
Footnotes:
1. The Latin text has xxiii for the chapter number, but it is listed after xxiv. We think that the author intended to cite Chapter 33 of Isaiah here, where laying waste is the topic. NCBSW editor’s note.
