261 - Daily and Yearly Preparation for Heaven
By Jonathan S. Rose
Dog
In Isaiah 56:11, this signifies people who care for nothing but worldly and earthly things which cut off the internal spiritual man. (Arcana Coelestia 376[13]) The dogs which eat the flesh of Jezebel, signify cupidities or lusts.
A dog, as in Exodus 11:7, signifies the lowest all in the church as well as people who are without the church. It also signifies people who babble or prate much about the church but don't really know what they are saying.
