Commentary

Sheba and Dedan

In Ezekiel 38:13, this signifies internal things of worship, namely the goods of faith: properly Sheba signifies people in knowledge of good and Dedan people in knowledge of truth from good. (Arcana Coelestia 3240[6])

'Sheba and Dedan' are people who constitute the first class in the Lord's spiritual kingdom principled in the good of faith and have doctrinal matters of charity. They also signify knowledge of celestial things, or put another way, people in the knowledge of celestial things in the doctrinal matters of charity.
