According to the Writings, the Lord in biblical times used angels – or whole angelic communities -- to carry messages to people, delivering them in a human voice. He did this by filling their spirits to the point that they believed they were the Lord himself when they spoke."Angels" in the Bible represent qualities of the Lord himself, or a variety of things that come directly from the Lord. On a lower level of meaning, angels can also represent societies that are receptive to the Lord: heaven itself or churches that look to the Lord.
