Ezekiel 5

And thou, son of man, take for thee a sharp sword, the razor of the barbers; take it for thee, and cause it to pass upon thy head and upon thy beard; and take for thee balances for weight, and part the hair.

Thou shalt burn with fire a third··part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are··fulfilled; and thou shalt take the third··part, and smite around it with a sword; and the third··part thou shalt disperse into the wind; and I will unsheathe a sword after them.

And thou shalt take from there a few in number, and bundle them in the wings of thy garment.

And take of them yet··again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn· them ·up in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come··out into all the house of Israel.

Thus says the Lord Jehovih*: This is Jerusalem; I have set it in the midst of the nations and lands that are all around her.

And she has rebelled against My judgments for wickedness more than the nations, and against My statutes more than the lands that are all around her; for they have rejected My judgments and My statutes, they have not walked in them.

Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovih: Because you were tumultuous more than the nations that are all around you, and have not walked in My statutes, neither have you done My judgments, neither have you done according to the judgments of the nations that are all around you;

therefore thus says the Lord Jehovih: Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will make judgments in the midst of thee before the eyes of the nations.

And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and which I will not do any··more its like, because of all thine abominations.

Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will make judgments in thee, and all that··is··left of thee I will disperse to every wind.

Therefore, as I live, says the Lord Jehovih: Shall··it not be, because thou hast defiled My sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, that even I shall diminish thee; and My eye shall not spare, and I will not even have pity.

A third··part of thee shall··die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they all· be ·consumed in the midst of thee; and a third··part shall fall by the sword all around thee; and I will disperse a third··part into every wind, and I will unsheathe a sword after them.

And My anger shall be completed, and I will cause My fury to rest on them, and I will be comforted; and they shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it in My zeal, when I have completed My fury in them.

And I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are all around thee, in the eyes of all that pass··by.

And it shall be a reproach and a taunt, a chastisement and an astonishment to the nations that are all around thee, when I shall make judgments among thee in anger and in fury and in furious reprovings. I, Jehovah, have spoken.

When I send among them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, which I will send to destroy you; and I will add to the famine upon you, and will break your rod of bread:

and I will send upon you famine and evil animals, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass··through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I, Jehovah, have spoken it.
