Psalms 13

1 To the victor; a psalm of David.
2 How long, O Jehovah? Wilt Thou forget me perpetually?
How long wilt Thou hide Thy faces from me?

2 3 How long shall I put counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

3 4 Look! Answer me, O Jehovah my God;
give· my eyes ·light, lest I sleep in death.

4 5 Lest my enemy say, I have prevailed··over him;
and my adversaries rejoice that I am moved.

5 6 But I have trusted in Thy mercy;
my heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation.

6 I will sing to Jehovah,
for He has recompensed me.
