2 How▵ long◦, O Jehovah? Wilt Thou forget me perpetually?
How▵ long◦ wilt Thou hide Thy faces from me?

3 How▵ long◦ shall I put counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily?
How▵ long◦ shall my enemy be exalted over me?

4 Look! Answer me, O Jehovah my God;
give· my eyes ·light, lest I sleep in death.

5 Lest my enemy say, I have prevailed··over him;
and my adversaries rejoice that I am moved.

6 But I◦ have trusted in Thy mercy;
my heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation.
