9183. 'And lies with her' means a wrongful joining together. This is clear from the meaning of 'lying with a virgin who has [not] been betrothed' as a wrongful joining together. For 'being betrothed' means a joining of the internal man, whereas 'lying with' means a joining of the external man, dealt with immediately above in 9182.
