Zechariah 4

Studie

And the angel who spoke with me returned and stirred· me ·up, as a man who is stirred··up from his sleep,

and said to me, What seest thou? And I said, I have seen, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the head of it, and its seven lamps on it, and seven funnels to the seven lamps, which are on its head;

and two olive··trees by it, one on the right side of the vase, and the other one on its left side.

And I answered and said to the angel speaking with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

And the angel who spoke with me answered and said to me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

And he answered and said to me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by a host, nor by power, but with My spirit, says Jehovah of Armies.

Who art thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain; and he shall bring··out the stone that is the head with commotions, crying, Grace, grace be unto it!

And the word of Jehovah was to me, saying,

The hands of Zerubbabel have laid··the··foundation of this house; his hands shall also gain it; and thou shalt know that Jehovah of Armies has sent me to you.

For who has despised the day of small things? And they shall be··glad, and shall see the stone of tin in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of Jehovah, which run··around over all the earth.

And I answered and said to him, What are these two olive··trees on the right side of the lampstand and on its left side?

And I answered a second time, and said to him, What are these two olive berries which, in the hand of the two gold tubes, empty the golden oil from on themselves?

And he said to me, saying, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

And he said, These are the two sons of olive··oil, standing by the Lord of all the earth.
