Numbers 6

Studie

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, When a man or woman shall vow the special vow of a Nazarite, to be··a··Nazarite to Jehovah;

he shall separate himself from wine and strong··drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, nor vinegar of strong··drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat fresh grapes, nor dry.

All the days of his Nazariteship, from all that is made from the vine of the wine, from the pulp even to the skin, he shall not eat.

All the days of the vow of his being··a··Nazarite a razor shall not go··across over his head; until the days be··fulfilled, in which he makes· himself ·a··Nazarite to Jehovah, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head become··great.

All the days that he makes· himself ·a··Nazarite to Jehovah he shall come upon no dead soul.

For his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, he shall not make· himself ·unclean for them when they die; for Nazariteship of his God is upon his head.

All the days of his being··a··Nazarite he is holy to Jehovah.

And if someone die, dying by him all of··a··sudden, suddenly, and he has defiled the head of his Nazariteship, then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, in the seventh day shall he shave it.

And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves, or two young doves, to the priest, to the entrance of the Tabernacle of the congregation;

and the priest shall make one for a sin offering, and one for a burnt··offering, and make··atonement for him, for that which he sinned by the soul, and shall sanctify his head in that day.

And he shall make· himself ·a··Nazarite to Jehovah the days of his being··a··Nazarite, and shall bring a lamb, a son of a year for a guilt offering; but the first days shall fall, for his Nazariteship was defiled.

And this is the law of the Nazarite, in the day the days of his Nazariteship are··fulfilled; he shall be brought to the entrance of the Tabernacle of the congregation.

And he shall offer his offering to Jehovah, a he-lamb, a son of his year, a perfect one, for a burnt··offering, and one ewe-lamb, a daughter of her year, perfect, for a sin offering, and one perfect ram for peace··offerings,

and a basket of unleavened flour, cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and their gift··offering, and their poured··offerings.

And the priest shall offer them before Jehovah, and shall make his sin offering, and his burnt··offering;

and he shall make the ram for a sacrifice of peace··offerings to Jehovah, on the basket of unleavened bread; and the priest shall make his gift··offering and his poured··offering.

And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his Nazariteship at the entrance of the Tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his Nazariteship, and put it on the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace··offerings.

And the priest shall take the cooked arm of the ram, and one unleavened cake from the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the palms of the Nazarite, after the hair of his Nazariteship is shaven.

And the priest shall wave them for a waving before Jehovah; it is holy for the priest, on the chest portion of the waving and upon the hind··quarter of the uplifting; and afterwards the Nazarite may drink wine.

This is the law of the Nazarite who has vowed, and of his offering to Jehovah for his being··a··Nazarite, apart from what his hand shall attain; as the mouth of the vow which he vowed, so he shall do on··account··of the law of his being··a··Nazarite.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel, saying to them,

Jehovah bless thee, and keep thee;

Jehovah make His face to give··light to thee, and be··gracious··to thee;

Jehovah lift··up His face to thee, and set for thee peace.

And they shall set My name on the sons of Israel; and I will bless them.

Ram

'A ram' signifies the good of innocence and charity in the internal self. 'A ram' signifies the Lord's divine spiritual nature pertaining to a person. In Leviticus 16:6-24, this signifies the natural-self regarding the good of charity.
