These are the journeys of the sons of Israel, who went··forth out··of the land of Egypt with their armies by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

And Moses wrote their goings··out according··to their journeys by the mouth of Jehovah; and these are their journeys according··to their goings··out.

And they journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the Passover the sons of Israel went··out with a hand lifted··high in the eyes of all Egypt.

And the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, whom Jehovah had smitten among them; and upon their gods Jehovah made judgments.

And the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.

And they journeyed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness.

And they journeyed from Marah, and came to Elim; and in Elim were twelve founts of water, and seventy palm··trees; and they encamped there.

And they journeyed from Elim, and encamped by the Suph Sea.

And they journeyed from the Suph Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

And they journeyed out··of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

And they journeyed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

And they journeyed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, and there was no water for the people to drink.

And they journeyed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

And they journeyed from Kadesh, and encamped in Mount Hor, in the end* of the land of Edom.

And Aaron the priest went··up into Mount Hor by the mouth of Jehovah, and died there, forty years after the sons of Israel were gone··out out··of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.

And Aaron was a son of three and twenty and a hundred years when he died on Mount Hor.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the deserts of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, When you have crossed··over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

and you shall dispossess all who dwell in the land from before you, and make· all their imagery ·perish, and make· all their molten images ·perish, and blot··out all their high··places;

and you shall dispossess the land, and dwell in her; for I have given you the land to possess her.

And you shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more you shall make· his inheritance ·more, and to the less you shall make· his inheritance ·less: to where the lot goes··out for him, for him it shall be; to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.

But if you will not dispossess those dwelling··in the land from before you, then it shall be, that those whom you let remain of them shall be a thorn··hedge in your eyes, and barbs in your sides, and shall be··adversaries with you upon the land wherein you dwell.

And it shall be, that I shall do to you, as I consider to do to them.

Midst

The "midst" of something in the Bible represents the thing that is most central and most important to the spiritual state being described, the motivation that drives everything else. In general this will be something we love or feel, because at the core of things we are what we love; our loves define us.
