Wabona uBhileham, ukuba kuhle emehlweni kaYehova ukumsikelela uSirayeli, akaya kuhlangabeza zihlabo ngokwezinye izihlandlo, wabubhekisa ubuso bakhe entlango.

Waphakamisa amehlo akhe uBhileham, wawabona amaSirayeli ehleli ngokwezizwe zawo, uMoya kaThixo wamfikela.

Wasusela ngomzekeliso wakhe, wathi, Utsho uBhileham unyana kaBhehore, Itsho indoda ecinywe amehlo;

Utsho ova ukuthetha kukaThixo, Owubonayo umbono woSomandla, Esiwa phantsi, etyhilwe amehlo.

Azizintle ngako iintente zakho, Yakobi! Neminquba yakho, Sirayeli!

Zitwabulukile njengezihlambo, Njengamasimi aphezu komlambo, Njengemihlaba etyelwe nguYehova, Njengemisedare ephezu kwamanzi.

Aya kumpompoza amanzi emiphandeni yakhe, Imbewu yakhe ingasemanzini amaninzi. Ukumkani wakhe makabe ngaphezulu koAgagi, Buziphakamise ubukumkani bakhe.

UThixo umkhupha eYiputa. Amendu akhe anjengawenqu. Uya kuzidla iintlanga, ababandezeli bakhe, Awakhukhuze amathambo abo, Abaphaluse ngeentolo zakhe.

Waguqa, wabuthuma njengengonyama, Njengengonyamakazi; ngubani na owomvusa? Mabasikelelwe abakusikelelayo, Baqalekiswe abakuqalekisayo.

Wavutha umsindo kaBhalaki kuBhileham, wazityhwakraza izandla zakhe, wathi uBhalaki kuBhileham, Ndikubizele ukuba uziqalekise iintshaba zam; nanku, umana ukuzisikelela ezi zihlandlo zozithathu.

Khwelela ngokunje, uye endaweni yakho. Bendithe ndokuzukisa kakhulu; yabona uYehova ukuvimbile uzuko.

Wathi uBhileham kuBhalaki, Bendingathethanga na nakubathunywa bakho owabathumela kum ndisithi,

Angafanelana uBhalaki endinika indlu yakhe izele yisilivere negolide, andingekhe ndiwugqithe umlomo kaYehova, ndenze okulungileyo nokuba kokubi okuphuma entliziyweni yam; oko akuthethayo uYehova, ndiya kwenza kona.

Kaloku yabona, ndiyahamba, ndiya ebantwini bakowethu. Yiza ndikutyele into abaya kuyenza aba bantu kubantu bakho ngemihla yokugqibela.

Wasusela ngomzekeliso wakhe, wathi, Utsho uBhileham unyana kaBhehore, Itsho indoda ecinywe amehlo.

Utsho ova ukuthetha kukaThixo, Wakwazi ukwazi kOsenyangweni; Obona umbono woSomandla, Esiwaphantsi, etyhilwe amehlo:

Ndiyayibona, kungekhona ngoku, Ndiyikhangele, ingekufuphi. Inkwenkwezi iphuma kwaYakobi; Intonga ivela kwaSirayeli, Iwaphaluse amaMowabhi emacaleni omabini, Ibagombe bonke abengxolo;

UEdom abe lilifa, Abe lilifa uSehire, iintshaba zakhe; USirayeli yena avelise amandla.

Makehle ophuma kwaYakobi, Atshabalalise abaseleyo emizini.

Wawabona ama-Amaleki, wasusela ngomzekeliso wakhe, wathi, Ingqalo yeentlanga nguAmaleki; Isiphelo sakhe sikukutshabalala.

Wawabona amaKeni, wasusela ngomzekeliso wakhe, wathi, Liqinile ikhaya lakho; Indlu yakho imiswe eweni.

Kuba uKayin angatshayelwa yini na, Ade uAsiriya akuthimbe?

Wasusela ngomzekeliso wakhe, wathi, Yeha! Azi ngubani na oya kubudla ubomi, akukumisa oko uThixo?

Iinqanawa zivela elunxwemeni lwamaKiti. Ziyamcinezela uAsiriya, ziyamcinezela uEbhere, Naye woda atshabalale.

Wesuka ke uBhileham wahamba, wabuyela endaweni yakhe; naye uBhalaki wahamba ngendlela yakhe.

Explanation of Numbers 24

Napsal(a) Henry MacLagan

Verses 1-4. And now the corrupted man, therefore, ceases to pervert the truth, and begins to contemplate the rejection of all truth; but he is able also to behold the state of the spiritual man as in heavenly order, and can discern truths in a state of apparent humility.

Verses 5-9. The happy state of the truly spiritual man is described, as to good and truth, as to deliverance from evil, and as to his power, from the Lord, against evil.

Verses 10-14. But the corrupted man conjoins in himself evil and falsity; he more clearly feels and perceives the opposition between himself and the spiritual man; and he recognizes that the truth cannot be changed to promote evil and error, and that he must be entirely separated from it.

Verses 15-25. A prophetic description of the coming of the Lord; of the process of Judgement, by which the external man in the case of the good, is made one with the internal; and of the same process in the case of the wicked, by which they are totally vastated as to all good and truth.
