1 Waza uMoses wahlabela le ngoma kuYehova, enoonyana bakaSirayeli, batsho ukuthi: Ndiya kuhlabela kuYehova, kuba enobungangamsha obukhulu, Ihashe nomkhweli walo ulizulumbele elwandle.

2 Uqhayiya lam, ungoma yam nguYehova; Waba lusindiso kum. UloThixo wam endimzukisayo, UThixo kabawo endimphakamisayo.

3 UYehova yindoda elwayo, UYehova ligama lakhe.

4 Iinqwelo zokulwa zikaFaro nempi yakhe waziphosa elwandle; Abahleliweyo kubaphathi-mikhosi bakhe batshoniswe eLwandle oluBomvu.

5 Amanzi enzonzobila abagubungele. Behlela ezinzulwini njengelitye.

6 Isandla sakho sokunene, Yehova, sivethe amandla; Isandla sakho sokunene, Yehova, sivikiva utshaba.

7 Ngobukhulu bobungangamsha bakho ubagungxule abachasi bakho; Ukhupha ukuvutha kwakho, kubadle bona njengeendiza.

8 Ngokufutha kwamathatha akho afunjwa amanzi, Yema njengemfumba imiqukuqela. Ajiya amanzi enzonzobila embilinini yolwandle.

9 Lwathi utshaba, Ndiyasukela, ndiyafumana, Ndaba ixhoba, umxhelo wam uyazanelisa kubo; Ndirhola ikrele lam, siya kubagqogqa isandla sam.

10 Wafutha ngomoya wakho, lwabagubungela ulwandle; Bazulumbeka njengelothe emanzini angangamsha.

11 Ngubani na onjengawe phakathi koothixo, Yehova? Ngubani na onjengawe, wena uvethe ubungcwele, Woyikekayo ezindumisweni, wenzayo ngokubalulekileyo?

12 Wolula isandla sakho sokunene, Umhlaba uyabaginya.

13 Uyabakhokela ngenceba yakho abantu aba ubahlawuleleyo, ubakhululeyo. Ngoqilima lwakho ubathundezela ekhayeni lakho elingcwele.

14 Zivile izizwe, ziyangqunga, Abemi baseFilisti babanjwe kukuzibhijabhija,

15 Zaza zakhwankqa izikhulu zakwaEdom; Iinjengele zakwaMowabhi zabanjwa kukuthuthumela, Batha amandla bonke abemi belakwaKanan.

16 Bawelwa kukudenga nakukunkwantya, Ngenxa yobukhulu bengalo yakho bathi cwaka njengelitye, Bade badlule abantu bakho, Yehova, Bade badlule abo bantu ubazuzileyo.

17 Uya kubangenisa, ubatyale entabeni yelifa lakho, Endaweni oyenzele ukuba uhlale kuyo, Yehova, Engcweleni eziyilungisileyo izandla zakho.

18 UYehova uya kuba ngukumkani ngonaphakade kanaphakade.

19 Kuba langena elwandle ihashe likaFaro nenqwelo yakhe yokulwa, nabamahashe bakhe. UYehova wawabuyisela phezu kwabo amanzi olwandle; ke bona oonyana bakaSirayeli bahamba kowomileyo, phakathi elwandle.

20 UMiriyam umprofetikazi, udade boAron, wathabatha ingqongqo ngesandla sakhe; aphuma onke amankazana emva kwakhe, eneengqongqo engqungqa.

21 Wawaphendula uMiriyam wathi, Vumani kuYehova, kuba enobungangamsha obukhulu; Ihashe nomkhweli walo ulizulumbele elwandle.

22 UMoses wawandulula amaSirayeli, emka eLwandle oluBomvu, aphuma aya entlango yaseShure; ahamba iintsuku zantathu entlango, akafumana manzi.

23 Afika eMara, akaba nakuwasela amanzi aseMara, kuba ayekrakra; ngenxa yoko igama laloo ndawo kwathiwa yiMara.

24 Abantu bamkrokrela uMoses, besithi, Siya kusela ntoni na? Wadanduluka kuYehova.

25 UYehova wambonisa umthi; wawuphosa emanzini, aba mnandi amanzi. Khona apho wabamisela ummiselo nesiko, khona apho wabavavanya.

26 Wathi, Ukuba uthe waliphulaphula izwi likaYehova uThixo wakho, wenza okuthe tye phambi kwakhe, wayibekela indlebe imithetho yakhe, wayigcina yonke imimiselo yakhe: andiyi kubeka nasinye isifo phezu kwakho endisibekileyo phezu kwamaYiputa; kuba ndinguYehova, igqirha lakho.

27 Bafika e-Elim, apho kwaye kukho imithombo yamanzi elishumi elinamibini, nemithi yesundu engamashumi osixhenxe, bazimisa iintente khona ngasemanzini.
