2 Si Moises na aking lingkod ay patay na; ngayon nga'y tumindig ka, tumawid ka sa Jordang ito, ikaw, at ang buong bayang ito, hanggang sa lupain na aking ibinibigay sa kanila, sa makatuwid baga'y sa mga anak ni Israel.

3 Bawa't dakong tuntungan ng talampakan ng inyong paa, ay naibigay ko na sa inyo, gaya ng sinalita ko kay Moises.

4 Mula sa ilang, at ang Libanong ito, hanggang sa malaking ilog, na ilog Eufrates, buong lupain ng mga Hetheo, at hanggang sa malaking dagat sa dakong nilulubugan ng araw, ay magiging inyong hangganan.

5 Walang makatatayong sinomang tao sa harap mo sa lahat ng mga araw ng iyong buhay: kung paanong ako'y suma kay Moises, ay gayon ako sasa iyo: hindi kita iiwan ni pababayaan kita.

6 Magpakalakas ka at magpakatapang na mabuti: sapagka't iyong ipamamana sa bayang ito ang lupain na aking isinumpa sa kanilang mga magulang na ibibigay sa kanila.

7 Magpakalakas ka lamang at magpakatapang na mabuti, na isagawa mo ang ayon sa buong kautusan na iniutos sa iyo ni Moises na aking lingkod: huwag kang liliko sa kanan o sa kaliwa, upang ikaw ay magtamo ng mabuting kawakasan saan ka man pumaroon.

8 Ang aklat na ito ng kautusan ay huwag mahihiwalay sa iyong bibig, kundi iyong pagbubulayan araw at gabi, upang iyong masunod na gawin ang ayon sa lahat na nakasulat dito: sapagka't kung magkagayo'y iyong pagiginhawahin ang iyong lakad, at kung magkagayo'y magtatamo ka ng mabuting kawakasan.

9 Hindi ba kita inutusan? Ikaw ay magpakalakas at magpakatapang na mabuti; huwag kang matakot, ni manglupaypay: sapagka't ang Panginoon mong Dios ay sumasa iyo saan ka man pumaroon.

10 Nang magkagayo'y nagutos si Josue sa mga pinunong bayan, na sinasabi,

11 Kayo'y magdaan sa gitna ng kampamento, at magutos sa bayan, na sabihin, Maghanda kayo ng baon; sapagka't sa loob ng tatlong araw ay tatawid kayo sa Jordang ito, upang yumaong ariin ang lupain, na ibinibigay sa inyo ng Panginoon ninyong Dios upang ariin.

12 At sa mga Rubenita, at sa mga Gadita, at sa kalahating lipi ni Manases, ay nagsalita si Josue, na sinasabi,

13 Alalahanin ninyo ang salita na iniutos sa inyo ni Moises na lingkod ng Panginoon, na sinasabi, Binibigyan kayo ng kapahingahan ng Panginoon ninyong Dios, at ibibigay sa inyo ang lupaing ito.

14 Ang inyong mga asawa, ang inyong mga bata, at ang inyong mga hayop ay tatahan sa lupain na ibinigay sa inyo ni Moises sa dako roon ng Jordan; nguni't kayo'y tatawid na may sandata sa harap ng inyong mga kapatid, kayong lahat na makapangyarihang lalaking matapang, at tutulong sa kanila;

15 Hanggang sa mabigyan ng kapahingahan ng Panginoon ang inyong mga kapatid, na gaya ninyo, at kanila namang maari ang lupaing ibinibigay sa kanila ng Panginoon ninyong Dios: kung magkagayo'y babalik kayo sa lupain na inyong ari, at inyong aariin, yaong ibinigay sa inyo ni Moises na lingkod ng Panginoon sa dako roon ng Jordan sa dakong sinisikatan ng araw.

16 At sila'y sumagot kay Josue, na sinasabi, Lahat ng iyong iniutos sa amin ay aming gagawin, at saan mo man kami suguin ay paroroon kami.

17 Kung paanong aming dininig si Moises sa lahat ng mga bagay, ay gayon ka namin didinggin: sumaiyo lamang ang Panginoon mong Dios, na gaya kay Moises.

18 Sinomang manghihimagsik laban sa iyong utos, at hindi makikinig ng iyong mga salita sa lahat ng iyong iniuutos sa kaniya, ay ipapapatay: magpakalakas ka lamang at magpakatapang na mabuti.

Joshua Chapter 1: Bůh přikázal Joshua

Kniha Joshua je o vstupu, dobytí a urovnání. Izraelité mají jít a žít v zemi, kterou jim Bůh slíbil, a kde bydleli před mnoha staletími.

Kapitola 1 Joshua odstartuje tento příběh. Joshua se ujal vedení Děti Izraele a je pověřen, aby vedl lidi přes řeku Jordán a převzal zemi. Vnitřní význam tohoto příběhu není politický, ale protože je v Bibli, je to osobní nebo duchovní. Kanaánská země je náš vlastní osobní život (viz Vysvětlená Apokalypsa 569[5]), která má kromě některých vysokých ideálů a dobrých úmyslů, které reprezentuje izraelský lid, také velmi lidský v tom, že se zaměřuje na sebe, je kritická, chamtivá, soudná (jmenujete ji!) - a tyto rysy jsou znázorněny v knize Jozue několik kmenů Kanaánů, kteří se tam usadili, zatímco Izrael byl v Egyptě. Jejich kmenová jména mají významy jako „nízko ležící“ a „obyvatelé bláta“. Jejich dobytí symbolizuje naši potřebu - s Boží pomocí - překonat tyto lidské životy s nízkým životem a místo toho být vedeni Božími pravdami (Nebeská tajemství 4816).

Joshua je pověřen Bohem, aby vedl lidi (Nebeská tajemství 8595). Mojžíš zemřel a nyní vede Joshua. Při uvedení do provozu Bůh popisuje několik věcí, s nimiž se musíme osobně vztahovat. Nejprve je nám řečeno, že musíme překročit řeku Jordán, abychom se dostali do země. Řeka je velmi určitá hranice a to nám říká, že existuje ostrý rozdíl mezi naším starým životem a naším novým životem, bez odstínů šedé.

Dále je Joshua řečeno, že každé místo, na kterém chodí vaše noha, bude vaše. To ukazuje na naši potřebu používat Boží pravdy prakticky tím, že žijeme a děláme je spíše než intelektuálně jen o nich přemýšlíme, protože naše „noha“ je nejnižší bod našeho těla, který se přímo dotýká země (viz viz Nebe a Peklo 97). Důvodem, po kterém chodíme, je samotný život.

Poté jsou hranice země Kanaánu popsány namem a ty nám dávají představy o naší potřebě být vyzváni (divočina), dobře myslet (Libanon), dělat dobro (Hittites) a mnohem více (Velké moře). . Pak Bůh říká, že pokud se rozhodneme žít Boží pravdy, nic nám nebude stát v cestě.

Poté přicházejí slavná slova „Buďte silní a velmi odvážní“ (Nebeská tajemství 6343). V kapitole 1 přicházejí několikrát, aby nás povzbudili a drželi v síle Boží moci. Je nám také řečeno, aby se neotáčeli na pravou nebo levou stranu, což znamená, že musíme poslouchat Boha a dělat to, co je správné, aniž bychom se odchýlili. Po skvělém startu můžeme tak snadno zpomalit a odvrátit se.

Kniha zákona se neodkloní od našich úst, ale musíme ji meditovat ve dne i v noci a udržovat ji v ústech, v mysli, v srdci a v našich činech a v našich úmyslech.

Joshua pak dává vůdcům vůdce, aby připravili lidi k odchodu. To pro nás znamená, že naše poznání, že musíme následovat Boha a dobýt svůj život, musí stékat z naší mysli do každé části nás v nejmenším detailu tohoto a tohoto a dokonce i toho. A vždy být připraven.

Poslední část kapitoly 1 je o některých izraelských kmenech - Reubenitech, Gaditech a polovině Manasseh. Dříve se tyto kmeny rozhodly, že se raději usadí na východní straně řeky Jordán, kde jsou dobré pastviny. Mojžíš jim řekl: „Ano“, ale nyní Joshua říká, že předtím, než to udělají, musí všichni muži jít se všemi do Kanaánu a bojovat a teprve poté se vrátit přes Jordán, aby byli se svými manželkami a dětmi a hejny.

To nám říká, že v našich životech je místo pro vnější potěšení a majetek, ale pouze tehdy, když jsme vlastnili a žili Boží věci jako první (Nebeská tajemství 870).
