1 Y subió Moisés de los campos de Moab al monte de Nebo, a la cumbre de Pisga, que está enfrente de Jericó; y le mostró el SEÑOR toda la tierra de Galaad hasta Dan,

2 y a todo Neftalí, y la tierra de Efraín y de Manasés, toda la tierra de Judá hasta el mar postrero;

3 y el mediodía, y la campiña, la vega de Jericó, ciudad de las palmas, hasta Zoar.

4 Y le dijo el SEÑOR: Esta es la tierra de que juré a Abraham, a Isaac, y a Jacob, diciendo: A tu simiente la daré. Te la he hecho ver con tus ojos, mas no pasarás allá.

5 Y murió allí Moisés siervo del SEÑOR, en la tierra de Moab, conforme al dicho del SEÑOR.

6 Y lo enterró en el valle, en tierra de Moab, enfrente de Bet-peor; y ninguno sabe su sepulcro hasta hoy.

7 Y era Moisés de edad de ciento veinte años cuando murió; sus ojos nunca se oscurecieron, ni perdió su vigor.

8 Y lloraron los hijos de Israel a Moisés en los campos de Moab treinta días; y así se cumplieron los días del lloro del luto de Moisés.

9 Y Josué hijo de Nun fue lleno del Espíritu de sabiduría, porque Moisés había puesto sus manos sobre él; y los hijos de Israel le escucharon, e hicieron como el SEÑOR mandó a Moisés.

10 Y nunca más se levantó profeta en Israel como Moisés, a quien haya conocido el SEÑOR cara a cara;

11 en todas las señales y los milagros que le envió el SEÑOR a hacer en tierra de Egipto a Faraón, y a todos sus siervos, y a toda su tierra;

12 y en toda la mano fuerte, y en todo el espanto grande que hizo Moisés a ojos de todo Israel.

Explanation of Deuteronomy 34

Verses 1-4. By Divine truth the soul gains a perception of the heavenly life before its acquisition.

Verses 5-6. A new state in which the acquisition of truth ceases to be of primary importance in the soul.

Verse 7. Truths being now in their fullness.

Verses 8-9. Anxiety of mind and change of state in which an ardent warfare against evil takes the place of the acquisition of truth.

Verses 10-12. There is no teacher for the regenerating like Divine truth from the Word.
