1 I hans niende regjeringsår, i den tiende måned, på den tiende dag i måneden, drog kongen i Babel Nebukadnesar med hele sin hær mot Jerusalem og leiret sig mot det, og de bygget skanser mot det rundt omkring.

Verse 1. Nevertheless when the corrupted church has no longer any conjunction with the Lord, because there are no longer any remains of faith and charity, the love of dominion becomes prevalent therein, and all falsities and evils thereof, so that it is beset on all sides by such evils and falsities.
