5 καγω ειστηκειν ανα μεσον κυριου και υμων εν τω καιρω εκεινω αναγγειλαι υμιν τα ρηματα κυριου οτι εφοβηθητε απο προσωπου του πυρος και ουκ ανεβητε εις το ορος λεγων

Verse 5. (The Word in the letter mediates between the Lord and those who are in external states, and shows them the will of the Lord as far as they are able to bear it, for the desires and thoughts of those who are in externals are not in conformity with the Divine Love, so that they cannot ascend into more interior states), and reveals as follows:—
