Deuteronomy 14:10

Verse 10. And whatever is irrational and has no life from the spiritual sense, and is not contained in and confirmed by the literal sense of the Word, shall not be appropriated; it will lead the soul into error. [Note. (verses 9-10).— Fins would seem to have the same signification as wings, as they raise and elevate. Scales correspond to what is literal and external in which superior things are contained.]
