8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

Verse 8. And this he must do not only internally, but externally, in understanding and will, because the external man can only be conjoined with the internal by good from the. Lord, or by love to the Lord and charity to the neighbour.
