23 In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah.

Verse 23. And sensual love does gain the dominion, when the faith of charity is completely vastated and a new state succeeds, which involves all previous states and includes a state of conflict against the truths of the understanding, from the delight of falsity conjoined with evil.
