1
Of◦ David.
א to▵ Thee, O Jehovah,
do I lift··up my soul.
2
O my God,
ב I trust in Thee, let me not be··ashamed;
let not my enemies triumph◦ over me.
3
ג Also, let all who wait··for Thee not be··ashamed;
they shall be··ashamed who act··treacherously lacking··cause.
4
ד Make me to know Thy ways, O Jehovah;
teach me Thy paths.
5
ה Make me to tread in Thy truth,
ו and teach me,
for Thou◦ art the God of my salvation; for Thee I wait all the day.
6
ז Remember Thy compassions, O Jehovah, and Thy mercies;
for they◦ are from eternity.
7
ח The sins of my youth, and my transgressions, remember them not;
according··to Thy mercy remember Thou◦ me, because··of◦ Thy goodness, Jehovah.
8
ט Good and upright is Jehovah;
therefore He will instruct sinners in the way.
9
י He will make the meek to tread in judgment;
and He will teach the meek His way.
10
כ All the paths of Jehovah are mercy and truth
to those who observe His covenant and His testimonies.
11
ל For the sake◦ of Thy name, O Jehovah,
pardon my iniquity, for it◦ is great◦.
12
מ Who is this, the man◦ who fears Jehovah?
Him shall He instruct in the way that he shall choose.
13
נ His soul shall pass··the··night in goodness;
and His seed shall possess the land.
14
ס The secret council of Jehovah is for those who fear Him;
and He will make them to know His covenant.
15
ע My eyes are continually toward▵ Jehovah;
for He◦ will bring··out my feet from the net.
16
פ Turn· Thy ·faces to▵ me and be··gracious··to me;
for I◦ am alone◦ and afflicted.
17
צ The adversities of my heart are enlarged;
bring· me ·out from my anguish.
18
ר See my affliction and my labor;
and lift all my sins.
19
ר See my enemies, that they are multiplied;
and they hate me with violent hatred.
20
ש O keep my soul, and rescue me;
let me not be ashamed, for I confide in Thee.
21
ת Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
for I wait··for Thee.
