28 because◦ he should have dwelt in the city of his refuge until the death of the great priest; but after the death of the great priest the manslayer shall return into▵ the land of his possession◦.

Verse 28. For only the innocence of ignorance excuses wrong doing, from the consequences of which the good are delivered by the Judgement; for then genuine good is manifested and evil is rejected, and the external man becomes the true expression of the internal.
