28 Surely any devoted·​·thing, that a man◦ shall·​·devote to Jehovah of all that he has◦, both of man and of beast, and of the field of his possession◦, shall not be sold nor redeemed; every devoted·​·thing, it◦ is a holy of holies to Jehovah.

Verse 28. Moreover, no affection or power that a man devotes to the Lord, from that life which seems to be his own, or at his own disposal, whether it be internal, interior, or external, is to be alienated or applied to selfish and worldly purposes; it is to be fully ascribed to the Lord.
