8 When◦ thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a railing for thy roof, that thou set not bloods* on◦ thy house, for falling someone might fall from it.

Verse 8. When you are gifted with a new regenerate will for good, then you shall make a guard round about the interior states you shall then possess, in which love to the Lord is the governing principle, that you bring not the guilt of rejecting the Divine influence within you by allowing any principle in the mind to relapse into inferior states and act from inferior motives. (See Arcana Coelestia 10184, 9274; Matthew 24:17)
