2 then thine elders and thy judges shall come out, and they shall measure to the cities which are all around him who is·​·slain.

Verse 2. Then shall the soul, by means of its truths which are from good, and the power of judgement in spiritual things given it, consider the doctrines believed in which are most allied to the state in which the Divine Spirit is perceived to be quenched in the external man:
